In our ongoing effort to provide additional benefits to our members, the Long Island Divers Association continues to work with local diving businesses and organizations who recognize the importance of our mission, promoting local diving on Long Island. The following will detail the LIDA membership benefits and discounts, available ONLY to LIDA members. We strongly encourage you to support these businesses and organizations. Their support of LIDA supports local diving.

Eligibility: To qualify for LIDA Member discounts, you must be a current member of the Long Island Divers Association. Participating merchants and organizations will require a current year LIDA Membership card, signed on the back by the member. Membership cards are issued to all LIDA members upon inception or renewal of their membership. If you believe that you are a current member and do not have a current year membership card, please contact us and we will issue a membership card after verifying your membership status.

LIDA/EDBA Dive Boat Discount Program

The Long Island Divers Association has teamed with the Eastern Dive Boat Association to bring you an unprecedented offer!

By simply notifying the Captain of any participating vessel when booking any local trip during the coming summer season, LIDA members will receive a 10% discount, on every trip, all season long! The more you dive, the more you save! Additionally, LIDA will be sponsoring local trips on participating vessels to a variety of our incredible local wrecks, providing food and refreshments for the surface interval and the boat ride home, along with the company of your fellow LIDA members.

Naturally, a few restrictions apply. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. You must be a current LIDA member in good standing. Your LIDA card must be presented when boarding. Please make sure to sign the back with a permanent marker. Contact the Captain for more information on what other restrictions may apply.

The LIDA Monthly Seminar Series

The Long Island Divers Association in association with with Life Support Technologies and the Nassau University Medical Center proudly present the LIDA Seminar Series.

On the fourth Thursday of every month from April to October, the Long Island Divers Association presents a two hour seminar focused on various diving related topics. These seminars are open to the general public for a $5 donation. LIDA Members attend these seminars FREE of charge.

The LIDA Film Festival Ticket Discount and Early Availability

The Long Island Divers Association Annual Film Festival is the premier local diving event of every year. Held in November, the evening features two hours of photo and video multimedia presentations by renowned local and international underwater photographers and videographers, followed by a post-presentation "decompression" party featuring food, wine, beer, soft drinks, raffles, door prizes, award presentations, and much more. This event sells out every year.

All current LIDA Members are eligible for advanced ticket sales for one month before general availability, as well as receiving a $5 discount per ticket.
